ok, so Auto World came out with an HO scale slot car version of Christine:
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I got one and did what I frequently do with Auto World cars: I lowered it down onto an old Aurora Thunderjet chassis to get the stance right (or at least closer.
Then it got late and I was bored and I remembered that in the movie version, Buddy Repperton’s death was so much less satisfying than in the book... so things got weird.
I need to get out more.

Those look pretty quick for T-Jets. Have they gotten better in the 10 years or so that I’ve been racing 1/32s?

They’re actually original Aurora T-Jet chassis from over 40 years ago. They happen to be a couple that run ptetty good, but they probably look faster than they are because of my zigzag camera work.
Since you asked, though, the Auto World Tjet replica chassis that came with the car is actually quite fast. It’s geared like the old Tuff Ones chassis and has wide tires like the old Tuff Ones. It also comes with a magnet attached to the bottom to enhance handling, but it’s easy to pop out if you aren’t into that. The only reason I didn’t use that chassis is that the wider wheels and tires don’t allow for lowering the body.
